Abstract:
This workshop invites sales, marketing, technical and non-technical teams to rethink how Vates creates, organizes, and maintains sales-ready collateral for us and our partners.
We will map what already exists, identify gaps, align on categories of sales assets (battlecards, competitive matrices, partner-ready decks, customer use cases, etc.) and define a streamlined process (from initial request to final delivery) that ensures consistency, availability, and impact.
If you want Vates’ value to be communicated clearly, consistently, and efficiently, this session is for you.
Description:
Across Vates, teams are producing valuable materials (technical notes, positioning documents, competitive insights, partner presentations, feature deep dives, and more). But today these efforts are scattered, duplicated, or hard to find, leading to inconsistent messaging, lost time, and slow responses to Sales and partner needs.
This workshop aims to fix that.
Together, we will design the blueprint for a Sales Collateral Factory: a shared, structured, and efficient way for Vates to create, maintain, and deliver sales-ready materials to internal teams, partners and customers.
During this session, we will:
- Inventory what already exists
- Identify known-but-scattered sales-oriented documents across the company (where they live, who owns them, and what shape they’re in).
- Define categories of sales collateral : Battlecards, Competitive matrices, Positioning/Value statements, Product overviews, Partner-specific decks, Customer use cases & success stories, How-to and “Getting Started” guides (sales-consumable versions), Pricing guides (where applicable), Industry-specific one-pagers, Co-selling kits, Alliance-oriented materials for partners, etc. (phew!)
- Design a unified content lifecycle : request, validation, sourcing, drafting, review, approval, publishing, ongoing updates, ensuring that content is consistent, aligned with positioning, easy to find, partner-ready, maintained and updated
- Identify a single source of truth : Decide where sales collateral should live long-term and define roles for ownership, updates, and version control. Decide also publicity rules, including behind-contact-form policies for public sharing.
- Discuss reuse and repurposing strategies : Reduce duplicated effort by identifying modular content that can be adapted across multiple deliverables (e.g., one technical explanation spawning multiple battlecards, guides, or partner sheets).
By the end of the session, we should have
- A clear map of existing sales collateral
- A list of categories of required sales assets
- An agreed-upon process for building, reviewing, and publishing these materials
- A shared sense of ownership and responsibility across teams
- A practical foundation for a repeatable, scalable Sales Collateral Factory that empowers Vates Sales, Channel Partners, and Alliances Members.
